Abraham Lincoln Gold Presidential Dollar Trial

Abraham Lincoln helped guide our nation through one of its darkest periods. While serving as our 16th president, Lincoln played a critical role in preventing the permanent division of our county byproviding steady, unwavering leadership during the Civil War. Known as a man of remarkable integrity, "Honest Abe" always adhered to his principles when making some of the most difficult and monumental decisions in our nation's history — with the ultimate goal of serving the best interests of all Americans.

The History of the Abraham Lincoln Gold Dollar Coin
In 2005, Congress commissioned the U.S. Mint to create a series of coins honoring the United States Presidents, to be released in the order that they served. On November 18, 2010, the highly anticipated Abraham Lincoln Presidential Dollar was released to the public and sparked a frenzy among coin collectors all over the world. Although the Presidential Dollars were very popular among collectors, budgetary restraints caused production of future Presidential Dollars to be limited. Beginning with Chester A. Arthur in the spring of 2012, only collectors who are willing to pay a premium above face value for special collector's proofs will be able to purchase the rest of the Presidents for their collection.
